Installation

Step 1 - Install Mounting Bracket

It is imperative that the harnesses are fed through the open face of the Coin Vault before the C-6936 Vault Mount Bracket is inserted, as it is very difficult to remove once in place.

  1. Install the C-5702 Chase Nipple into the C-5414 F2 Mounting Bracket using the C-5703 Nut as shown in Fig. 4a.
  2. Feed the remaining harness ends through the open face of the Coin Vault.
  3. Spread the C-6936 Vault Mount Bracket wings outward before insertion to lock bracket into place (shown in Fig. 4b).
  4. Feed remaining harness ends through the C-6936 Vault Mount Bracket.
  5. Insert the C-6936 Vault Mount Bracket into the Coin Vault (Fig. 4c).
  6. Feed the remaining harness ends through the combined C-5414 F2 Mounting Bracket as shown in Fig. 4d.
  7. Secure the combined C-5414 F2 Mounting Bracket to the C-6939 Vault Mount Bracket with the C-0144 Screws as shown in Fig. 4e.

Step 2 - Connect Power

  1. Tap power as described in the Fascard Reader Install - Universal Concepts document using the C-5101 Spade Taps provided.
  2. Connect the C-5336 Power Adapter Harness to the installed spade taps. Connect the opposite end to the C-5602 Power Converter.
  3. Connect the C-5500 Power Extension Harness to the appropriate connector on the C-5602 Power Converter. The remaining cable end connects to the FasCard reader.

Step 3 - Connect Machine Start Harness

  1. Connect the C-5254 Machine Start Harness to the harness that was previously connected to the Coin Drop.

Step 4 - Connect and Mount FasCard Reader

  1. Feed remaining harness ends through mounting hole as described in F2 Reader Mounting Guide.
  2. Connect the free end of the C-5254 Machine Start Harness to port 2 (Pulse Connection Port) as shown in the image below.
  3. Connect the free end of the C-5500 Power Extension Harness to port 4 (C-5500 Power Harness Connection Port) as shown in the image below.
  4. Connect FasCard reader to base as described in the F2 Reader Mounting Guide.
  5. Program the card reader address as described here: How to Program Address on a FasCard Reader.
