Kit Installation Notes

This document assumes that the host machine has a serial communication board installed and enabled.  This board is provided by Continental Girbau.

This document further assumes the use of an Imonex EM100 Controller.

Installation

Step 1 - Install Mounting Bracket

  1. Place the C-5700-TEMP Drill Template on the desired mounting location.
  2. Verify included harnesses will reach desired location without encountering interference from internal machine components.
  3. Refer to FasCard Mounting Guide for further instructions.

Step 2 - Connect Power

  1. Tap power as described in the Fascard Reader Install - Universal Concepts document using the C-5101 Spade Taps provided.
  2. Connect the C-5336 Power Adapter Harness to the installed spade taps. Connect the opposite end to the C-5602 Power Converter.
    1. Secure the ground wire beneath a chassis screw.
  3. Connect the C-5500 Power Extension Harness to the appropriate connector on the C-5602 Power Converter. The remaining cable end connects to the FasCard reader.

Step 3 - Connect Coin Sense Harness

  1. Disconnect the Imonex Coin Sensor from the Machine Control Assembly.
  2. Connect the C-5382 Coin Sense Harness to the Imonex Coin Sensor harness.

Step 4 - Connect Machine Start Harness

  1. Connect the C-0114-MLV Machine Start Harness to the Serial Communication Board in the center RJ-11 port.

Step 5 - Connect and Mount FasCard Reader

  1. Feed remaining harness ends through mounting hole as described in FasCard Mounting Guide.
  2. Connect the free end of the C-0114-MLV Machine Start Harness to port 1 (Serial Connection Port) as shown in the image above.
  3. Connect the free end of the C-5382 Coin Sense Harness to port 3 (Coin Sense Harness Connection Port) as shown in the image above.
  4. Connect the free end of the C-5500 Power Extension Harness to port 4 (C-5500 Power Harness Connection Port) as shown in the image above.
  5. Connect FasCard reader to base as described in the FasCard Mounting Guide.
  6. Program the card reader address as described here: How to Program Address on a FasCard Reader.
